The eleventh issue of TMA’s Briefing looks at some of the effects of the Scottish smoking ban. A survey from the Scottish Licensed Trade Association (SLTA) has found that a third of its members have laid off staff following the ban and a loss of custom.
Also covered in this edition is the raising of the age of sale for tobacco from 16 to 18 which will go ahead on 1 October this year.
