The TMA response to the consultation on street litter. We believe that in view of the potential increase in tobacco product related litter following the introduction of the smoking ban in England issues that need to be addresses are:
* smokers’s responsiblity to dispose of litter properly
* local authority provision of adequate litter facilities
* businesses to property owners to provide litter facilities on their premises
