Tobacco smuggling and some of the measures being taken to tackle it are featured in the latest edition of Briefing.

These include the implementation of a covert security feature on cigarette packs and ‘Jake’ a police sniffer dog trained to detect illicit tobacco products hidden by illegal street sellers in one area of North London.

Other topics covered include the recent change in the age from 16 to 18 relating to the sale of tobacco products and the Smokers Welcome website.
