Latest surveys, undertaken by a range of independent organisations representing retail and business interests, show that businesses are at greater risk of crime than domestic households. In terms of the UK’s retail businesses, estimates of losses due to crime vary widely, ranging from £1.6 billion up to £4.2 billion every year. Despite this significant variance, all the surveys agree that business crime is on the increase… and more can and should be done to combat it.
