From time to time, the TMA commissions research and surveys to assess and analyse evidence with regard to tobacco control measures; a selection of these are available to download here.

Research

In May 2015 the TMA commissioned a poll of 12,000 adult smokers. The survey addressed issues related to the illicit trade.

In 2013, the TMA commissioned Oxford Economics to assess the potential impact of the Tobacco Products Directive on the retail sector. A copy of the report is available to download here.

A Holden Pearmain Smokers’ Panel survey of 1000 adult 18+ smokers for the TMA, conducted in December 2010, addressed the issue of tobacco smuggling.
